Sustainability involves a variety of things. It involves sourcing flowers. It also involves very specific floral design techniques. It involves reuse, recycling and developing efficient floral designing habits.

Sourcing Flowers:

We buy flowers from local farms whenever possible. In addition we encourage our local flower suppliers to buy flowers that are grown locally and sustainably.

Floral Arrangement Techniques:

Our floral design classes include many water based floral art techniques that have low environmental impact. It is important for intelligent and effective modern floral artists to learn these approaches and to incorporate these techniques into their floral design repertoire.

Reusing And Recycling:

Containers and packaging materials are reused as much as possible. What is not reused is recycled. Reducing waste is a mindset that is taught as part of an efficient floral design workflow. It is good ecological practice and it can lead to a more profitable floral business.
